Invited Speakers

Dr. Peter Geskes

Siemens Energy Global GmbH & Co. KG, Erlangen, Germany

Dr. Peter Geskes is currently Vice President of R&D and Product Management for Water Electrolysis Systems at Siemens Energy Global GmbH & Co. KG in Erlangen, Germany. He studied Mechanical Engineering at University Darmstadt with focus on power plant technology, process engineering and thermodynamics. After his study he worked at DLR (German Space Agency) and developed together with Siemens KWU direct evaporation in horizontal tubes of solar parabolic trough power plants. He finished his Ph.D. at Technical University Munich (Institute of Thermodynamics). After his Ph.D. he moved to Behr and MAHLE where he was responsible in different functions for research, pre-development and series-development of various kind of heat exchangers, refrigerant circuits and organic waste heat recovery systems for mobile and stationary applications. In his last function at MAHLE as global Director R&D he led the development of fuel cell peripheral products, high voltage batteries and pressurized hydrogen tanks for automotive and non-automotive applications. In 2023 he moved to Siemens Energy and is responsible for the global R&D and product management of Water Electrolyzers Stacks and Electrolyzer systems.
